Your child can even come in their school uniform and bring a snack in their lunchbox. The sessions are designed to mimic the day-in-the-life of a student to help them prepare and assist with future expectations.

The early literacy group will help your child build foundational pre-literacy skills needed for the successful learning of reading and writing skills in Pre-Primary and beyond. Designed for children entering Pre-Primary, this intensive group will support skills such as syllable, rhyme and initial sound awareness over 3 x 60-minute sessions. Sessions will be fun and interactive. Fun follow-up home activities will also be provided to allow you to continue to support your child’s skills at home.

Using the fun and well-regarded Story Champs ® Program this intensive group will help your child to build the foundational oral academic and social language skills needed for success at school- storytelling, vocabulary, and comprehension. Designed for children entering Pre-Primary or Year 1, this intensive group will support oral language skill development over 3 60-minute sessions, using engaging stories. Follow-up home activities will be provided after each session to continue to support your child at home.

Who is it for? Children entering Pre-Primary or Year 1 in 2025 (maximum of 4 children to ensure individualized attention)

We are taking expressions of interest for those who are after a handwriting/fine motor intensive group over January. Please complete the below group registration form to add your child’s details.

Holiday writing groups are generally run 2x a week for 3 weeks. Location, days and age groups will depend on interest received. Further details will be shared in October.

Supporting children heading into kindy in 2025 or in the early years of primary school who are just needing some extra help to achieve the gross motor skills of climbing, hopping, running, balance. This will be a fun class helping ~3-6 year olds feel more confident in the playground.

Dates: Tuesday & Thursday in January 14th, 16th, 21st and 23rd of January

Let’s Learn to Ride is a program that has been developed to facilitate the achievement of independent bike riding. This program is run by a Physiotherapist and Occupational Therapist, with the assistance of wonderful volunteers, and consists of five consecutive days of bike riding and growth mindset activities. Children will learn how to independently brake, initiate pedalling, steer, and progress towards independent balance.
Who is it for? Children who are wanting to learn how to ride their bike independently (with or without training wheels). Maximum of 8 children.

This group, led physiotherapy is a 5 day intensive to assist children who are riding but need assistance with:

• Bike riding endurance
• Hill starts (ascending and descend)
• Ascending and descending hills
• Learning gears
• Navigating the path with other riders (overtaking, riding next to another rider)
• Road safety skills
  Indicating
• Sharp turns/corners
• Riding on different surfaces

There is a maximum of 4 children in the group.

Our running program is designed to help kids get faster, feel more confident with their running ability to support them with the sports of their choosing. It is a group designed to focus on the technique and strength/power required to run, not so much about fitness/running laps. Recommended for those aged between 7-12 years, 4-5pm, 6 sessions over 3 weeks.

A fun and interactive group designed for students entering Year 7 in 2025! The group will cover:

Greeting & introducing self to others, Making new friends, Joining group conversations, Reading a timetable, Organising/planning, Setting up a study space, Independence skills, Reducing stress and anxiety around starting high school.

An extension of the Healthy bones and conditioning class run throughout school term, for kids with chronic presentations needing to maintain their physical activity over the summer break. The group has a social focus to help engage teens, whilst supporting their strength and physical capacity maintenance over the holidays. Lead by Rowan, our Complex Care team lead, for teenager 12Y+ running twice a week for 3 weeks.

Our SHIFT program is designed to empower teens with functional somatic symptoms (persistent pain, fatigue, nausea, FND, movement difficulties) to improve function engaging in meaningful activities in their life or build towards school or TAFE.

Through practical strategies, peer support, and professional guidance. Let us help your teen build confidence, learn helpful coping mechanisms, and develop lifelong skills to manage their health.
