Handwriting is a highly complex task which incorporates fine motor skills, visual perception, upper body strength, and memory, amongst many other skills! Difficulty in handwriting can significantly impact on children’s learning experience, and on their self- esteem.
How we can support you:
Our occupational therapist can support your child in determining which areas would benefit from further development, and designing a plan to do so through fun and engaging activities. Our approach is highly individualised to ensure your child has the best chance of success.
We can also provide advice on equipment and devices to support your child’s participation in handwriting or typing. Our occupational therapists can support older students in navigating the increased pressures of exams and assignments and are adept at writing reports supporting SCSA applications for students entering their final years of high school.
