Sports: Helping young people achieve their goals for physical activity and sports participation, both in the community and at the highest level

  • Sport & Parasport performance – this can be with one or more of our team; dietetics, psychology and physiotherapy, to optimise your performance

GROUPS

Running Group:

A weekly group designed to improve running technique. Drills are directed by our physiotherapists and individualised to the participants. For ages 9-16 years. Running group is about running well, NOT about running long distances! Running group focuses on drills and exercises to strengthen key muscle groups, on developing power, and on correct technique.

 

Sports Prep Group:

A weekly group led by our physiotherapists designed to optimise your sports performance and prevent injury through a combination of strength, endurance, flexibility, balance and functional training.

NDIS Services 

If your child has NDIS funding you can apply for our evidence based intensive programs below via our NDIS enquiry link.

All NDIS intensives will be preceded by an intake appointment with one or more of our team.

A one to one program designed to build your child’s skills for sports participation.

This intensive block is twice a week for 4-6 weeks and led by physiotherapy or occupational therapist

A one to one program for children with Cerebral Palsy GMFCS I or II needing serial casting.

This intensive block begins with 4-6 weeks of serial casting and is followed by a rehabilitation block.

Led by our physiotherapy team.

Please note, this service is only offered at our Victoria House location from May 2023.

A one to one program to optimise outcomes for children undergoing orthopaedic surgery.

The length of this intensive block will be dependent on the recommendations from your orthopaedic surgeon.
