Chronic Fatigue

CFS is persisting or relapsing fatigue that is not relieved by rest. CFS is a serious and debilitating illness that can last for months or years. The key feature of CFS is extreme exhaustion, as well as a variety of other symptoms. In some children the fatigue causes limitations, while for others the fatigue may come and go. For many children CFS begins after a viral infection, for some, after another illness, or even an injury. In some children there is no obvious cause, with fatigue appearing either suddenly or gradually, for no known reason.

Fatigue, much like persistent pain, affects many dimensions of your childs life. As such, our therapists will conduct a thorough assessment.
